You will join a young and highly motivated team of individuals. As a System Integration Engineer, you are in charge of maintaining the performance, availability and security of our cutting edge in-house trading systems, integration of software components and exchange interfacing applications.

System Integration Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all trading systems are available and reliable during trading hours
  • Measurement and identification of improvements of performance for our trading infrastructure and translating user requests into performance requirements
  • Prioritize, troubleshoot and resolve major incidents in a high pressure environment
  • Working together with traders, software developers and network specialists in order to continuously improve systems and processes
  • Coordinate and plan system upgrades, patches and fixes
  • Create and maintain necessary supporting documentation

Knowledge and skill requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or similar path of study
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience preferable at a financial institute
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with of Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Experienced with various ways to deploy java applications
  • Knowledge and expertise in various scripting languages (bash, perl and/or python)
  • Knowledge of databases
  • Analytical thinking and ability to adapt quickly to fast changing requirements
  • Flexible, proactive, hands-on mentality, able to work independently in a team setting while being a team player at the same time
  • Fluent in English
