This global financial services business is a leader in asset management, wealth management and banking solutions for personal and institutional investors worldwide. With the expansion of its operation in Australia they are seeking an experienced finance professional to work in conjunction with the Head of Fund accounting and reporting and contribute extensively with the set up of the fund accounting operation.

This role will see you initially bring your industry knowledge and technical skills to this new set up and work with business analysts and system developers to help create and implement a fund accounting and reporting platform to support its current and future clients; evolving into the management of a fund accounting team and take responsibility for all staff management duties.

This role will suit an experienced Fund Accountant with staff management experience. A background in fund accounting and financial reporting from the fund administration industry, investment accounting or financial services audit background will be required to be considered for the position.

This role will involve travelling overseas to work with the functions and understand the set up of the fund operation and bring this to Melbourne. You must possess strong interpersonal skills together with a hands on and flexible working approach.
