Reporting to the Head of Accounting and Operations, you will be instrumental in setting up and developing the accounting function and maintaining a solid financial control environment for a diverse and complex set of investment assets.

Our client is an established US alternative investment management firm with significant experience investing in markets across the globe. It has recently set up its regional office in Singapore to expand its presence in Asia and is seeking a high calibre manager to run its accounting function.

Reporting to the Head of Accounting and Operations, you will be instrumental in setting up and developing the accounting function and maintaining a solid financial control environment for a diverse and complex set of investment assets. You will be reponsible for legal entity reporting for the Asia business, corporate and tax reporting requirements for regional structured investment vehicles, managing technical accounting issues applicable to investment activity such as consolidation of equity investments, IFRS and US GAAP. You will work closely with asset managers, head office, international counterparts, auditors, tax advisors, MAS and corporate administrators.

You are degree qualified CA/CPA with at least 7 to 10 years' relevant financial control/reporting experience within financial services, ideally with a good understanding of investment/fund management businesses in Asia. You have strong business controls orientation and problem solving skills as well as a "hands on" approach. You are a self-starter with excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
