Overview
This is a critical position to develop the intermediaries business in Japan. Retail investors in Japan are shifting from savings to investment. The company only has limited business in arrangements where end investors are retail.
In order to take advantage of their key position at this stage in the intermediary market, it is critical to bring on board someone with strong experience in designing investment solutions for the retail distribution / intermediary business.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in developing the strategic business plan in entering the intermediaries business in Japan
- Identify what investment products are necessary to succeed in this area
- Contribute to building relationships with potential business partners and bringing in profitable business through understanding specific clients requirements
- Support the sales team to further develop the clients base and broaden the product range through attending clients meetings and designing tailor-made solutions
- Work closely with all areas of business, Intermediaries Sales Division, Investments, Investment Services, Investment Trust Management, Products Planning etc.
Skills and Experience Desired
- Knowledge of the financial services industry, its participants and products
- Strong product development skills
- Sales / marketing capability with ability to execute deals desirable
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong team-working skills.
