You will be responsible for overseeing the work of the accounts control team ensuring the team processes all cost recovery and expenses. The successful applicant will be an accomplished 'People Manager' having managed (including reviews and appraisals) at least 4 members of staff.
Duties will include:
- Supervise the entering & maintaining of the cost recovery rules in SAP ensuring validity of items being recovered
- Prepare and deliver ad-hoc Cost Recovery training to the Banking Budget Officers
- Monitor the bank reconciliation for items relating to Accounts Control and ensure they are cleared in a timely & accurate manner
- Report any aged outstanding payments to management on a monthly basis
- Maintain relationship with external debt collection agency
- Liaise with IT on any enhancements to the SAP system
- Responsible for setting and monitoring team and individual objectives and carrying out of regular formal appraisal
- Participate in the interviewing and recruitment of new team members
Skills Required:
- Must be educated to degree level
- Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy is essential
- Previous management experience is essential
- Team Leader with excellent people management skills
- Good communication skills
- Good level of numeracy, aptitude for figures
- In depth experience of Cost Recovery, Accounts Payable, Expense claim settlement
- Excellent knowledge of SAP is desirable
