A leading expert in financial restructuring is aggressively expanding its business. Through its highly resilient business model, things are looking positive as we approach a tough year end. Wth its current deal pipeline, one can rest assured this is a highly sought-after place to work.

As a Director coming into this business you will work on a tremendously high volume of deals. You will develop strong relationships with key capital providers and institutional investors, namely hedge funds / private equity funds with capital to invest in special situations, distressed leveraged finance deals and a whole range of other placement possibilities.  You will then work with the highest degree of professionalism and entrepreneurship in linking these pockets of capital (debt and equity) with corporates in need - the variety of situations is extremely wide and it requires the smartest of people to do this.

The business has arguably outstripped its competition in recent years in terms of growth and there is little evidence of this relaxing during the current climate. 

The firm’s team consists of top caliber investment bankers and former private equity and mezzanine investment professionals. Given the prevalent investor mentality within the firm, the business will back (with its own capital) circa. one in three of the deals it advises on – their track record in doing so has been highly successful to date and it has led to a whole new range of possibilities going forward.

The firm itself has a highly unique business model - this is NOT the typical advisory boutique you will come across for a number of reasons.  Its three core business units interact and compliment each other with great success and the firm is fast becoming recognised by the market as a leading brand.

CONSIDERATION: Although only a sweetener at this stage, if you have any interest in the renewable energy space (and in these times you'd be crazy otherwise) then we really should talk.

Suitable candidates for this role will have outstanding academic and professional credentials as well as a passion for entrepreneurship and gaining enormous reward for hard work.  You will work with a very high level of autonomy and must therefore be a natural leader.

It is essential that you have a strong debt background and have both originated and executed a high level of transactions, specifically in the leveraged finance or financial restructuring space.

Our client has successfully recruited top class people into the team this year and will continue to do so into ’09.  There is en extremely hands-on approach across the business with little hierarchical evidence and a fantastic working culture.  The business operates from two locations in Europe, currently five Partners and roughly a dozen further professionals.
