A Head of Corporate Banking is required by a Middle Eastern bank to lead the corporate banking division and ensure the achievement of targeted results, without compromising the credit quality of the portfolio.
To achieve this, the successful applicant will be responsible for developing an overall strategy for the corporate banking segment of the bank. They will need to develop and implement the business plan based on this strategy and devise a marketing plan to achieve the asset and profitability targets.
The position will involve leading a team of relationship / credit managers in identifying the targeted prospects / deals and converting them into new relationships and clients. It will be necessary to maintain the credit quality of the portfolio through proactive management of risk and by managing the credit approval process through active involvement in credit analysis and submission of credit proposals. The role holder will be a member of the local credit committee.
To be successful, applicants must have previous experience of corporate banking within an international bank. Knowledge of the Middle Eastern market is essential, as are excellent credit skills. Candidates must have experience of managing a team and have sound relationship management and leadership skills.
