A progressive and forward thinking bank with a prominent Structured Trade and Commodity Finance team seeks an executive with solid origination skills within the metals sector.

My client is seeking an originator for their structured trade and commodity finance team based in London with a focus on the metals and mining sector.

Historically, the bank has a strong STCF department and is a leading arranger of structured trade and commodity finance worldwide.

As a result of the organic growth and continued success of the group the bank has a requirement for talented and ambitious individual to join the metals side of their team.

Duties will be very “end to end” providing support in the origination, pricing, structuring and execution of structured trade and commodity finance transactions. It is likely the role will have a certain geographic focus and will therefore, require marketing coverage and origination within it, creating the opportunity for travel. You will also be required to assist in the banks efforts to expand their global footprint. 

Demonstrable and relevant metals experience, gained within a leading commercial or investment bank, is required for this role, along with strong origination and relationship managment skills. You will be enthusiastic and proactive, with excellent, proven client liaison skills. A solid background in trade finance plus a sound knowledge of the commodity markets in general and the structuring of transactions within them would be a distinct advantage.
