Our client is a leading financial institution with global and regional presence that pride themselves on their commitment to financial management and client servicing excellence, providing investors with a range of institutional services and an extensive range of locally-run single country, regional and international funds.

The Responsibilities:

• The candidate is responsible to lead a small team of professionals to provide compliance supports in the key business area of onshore and offshore product structuring and launches (including complex derivative products). He/She is to ensure an effective compliance infrastructure exists to support the company’s clients and funds and all activities conducted in the business unit.
  
   
• He/She is responsible to implement an effective Compliance Monitoring program and generate and deliver all compliance reporting including reports to the Audit and Compliance Committee and the Regional Head of Funds Compliance.
  
   
• He/She is responsible to implement and monitor compliance policies, processes and standards in respect of the activities for the asset management company and the regional operational support functions based in Singapore. He/She is responsible to implement the group, policies and standards; and international best practices for compliance operations.
  
   
• He/She is to ensure compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, internal policies and contractual terms in respect of funds from life institutional and retail pooled vehicle clients for the management. He/She has to work with the internal key stakeholders to manage an effective overall relationship with the MAS or Regulators in offshore jurisdictions, as may be necessary.
   

The Requirements:

• He/She must have a good university degree in Commerce/Finance/Accounting/Banking with professional qualifications in Accounting/Law/Management.
   
• He/She must have at least 7 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry, with at least 5 years in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
   
• Candidate with International experience of regulatory compliance within multinational fund management, broking or banking industries would be preferred.
   
• A team player but has the capacity to work on his/her own.
