My client is looking for a Financial Controller for their team. The candidate will report to the Managing Director and will have 3 to 4 people reporting to him. More senior candidates will be considered for Finance Director position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and direct to produce consistent high quality consolidation reports for monthly, quarterly and yearly statutory and management reporting for the group entities of the private investment group

• Provide comprehensive financial information to management.

• Manage the daily operations of the private investment group’s finance department.

• Treasury management for the private investment group.

• Responsible for the accurate and timely financial statement for the private investment group including overseas units.

• Responsible for financial planning and analysis function including budgeting, forecasting and reports analysis.

• Provide full details on variances for actual against budget/forecast to produce reports to management.

• Review and formulate financial process and purpose.

• Ensure strong internal control system in place.

• Provide sound technical advice, guidance and support to the whole group on any financial related matters.

• Review and streamline accounting process to ensure and improve operation efficiency.

• Maintain an efficient accounting system to produce accurate, timely financial data.

• Manage tax planning and filing to IRD and ensure its compliance with Hong Kong Tax Law

• To develop and coach the team.

• Handle ad hoc request from management

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or other related disciplines with a minimum of 10 years solid professional experience in Finance/Accounting of which at least 3 years in management level. Regional exposure is preferred.

• Experience in a Big Four CPA firm is a MUST.

• Qualified Accountant with sound knowledge of financial practices and strong technical knowledge in IFRS.

• Good knowledge in accounting system and software.

• Practical experience in fund management firm, preferably in the private equity sector.

• Strong business acumen.

• Independent, self motivated and able to work under pressure.

• Strong drive and with great initiative.

• Proficiency in both English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
