Our client is a leading investment banking and they are looking for an Accountant to join their Structured Capital Markets business.

The business structures a wide range of complex products utilizing a large range of legal entities and financial products to identify profitable structures and trades with minimal incremental market risk to the bank. The finance team services a constantly changing and expanding business and provides full management and financial reporting on the deals.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Getting an in depth knowledge of the trades by reading the relevant deal documents executed, accounting and disclosure requirements and speaking to the execution team.
• Preparation, review and reconciliation of deal P&L to front office models.
• Liaising and building relationships with the execution business management and trade execution teams.
• Monthly management reporting on SAP. Any other regulatory reporting required under the deal.
• Production of management accounts as required for the legal entities.
• Preparation of statutory accounts for the legal entities.

As the ideal candidate you will be a qualified accountant with an excellent academic background. You will have sound technical knowledge of IFRS and preference will be given to candidates with prior experience within Financial Services.
