Global Energy Trading Company is now looking for a Risk BA to work in the City. You must have in-depth experience of PnL attribution and be able to break down PnL into its component cost drivers. You must understand how a physical commodity is valued and priced as well as financials.  You must have strong experience of designing, implementing and supporting risk management systems for multi-commodity trading (power, gas, coal, freight, oil etc)   Strong commodities experience (excluding metals) is essential. Strong risk experience is mandatory and should include market to market valuation; risk positioning; VAR; Option theory; Complex deal valuation and stress and sensitivity tools. You must have a thorough understanding of daily risk reporting requirements in a scale trading environment (forward curves, PnL, front to back information flows for valuation, margining and settlement, risk position and decomposition, VAR analysis. Experience of energy commodities including physical transactions; (complex formula pricing, swing quantity, transportation and storage is a must. You must have a solid history of working for investment banks or energy trading or energy risk management companies. SQL experience is required (querying a database, entity diagrams, deal structure) . This is a front office role. You will be sat on the trade floor and will be working on the core P&L valuation engine, new P&L explanation system, flexible reporting platform and new forward curve manager. A highly numerical / quant-related Degree would be very relevant (pricing and modelling / similar) but business knowledge is more important.
