The client is a Top Investment Bank in Midtown. This is an open ended Contract 12 months + and they will consider a Contract to Hire

We have a Direct relationship with the hiring Manager and he is MOTIVATED to hire ASAP!

They need a Technical Project Manager with experience delivering complex financial services projects ---preferably in the domain of capital markets, brokerage and securities industry.

Must have SME Level knowledge on Settlement and Clearing, portfolio, trading, client reporting, statements etc from brokerage perspective.

Job Description:

Tracking issues, dependencies, variables, risks, timelines, financials on multiple concurrent projects.
Leadership through facilitation of technical decision making in a timely manner.
Communicating progress and escalation of issues to the right level to see attention and resolve issues.

Must have:
Technical skill set: Java/J2EE, web application design experience.
Non technical skill set: risk mgmt, reporting, escalation, metrics driven, ability to structure project teams for maximum efficiency and results. Excellent oral and written communications skills, comfortable dealing and negotiating with business and C-level executives.

Experience:
5 years of development experience building with web based technologies--Java/J2EE/XML/DOM/HTML. Good exposure to database and middleware implementations. Exposure to services oriented architecture. Good understanding of web UI technologies with keen understanding on when to use what.  Keen understanding of performance issues, infrastructure and deployment implications.

A minimum of 5 years of experience delivering complex financial services---preferably in the domain of capital markets, brokerage and securities industry. Good understanding of portfolio, trading, client reporting, statements etc from brokerage perspective.

A demonstrated track record of at least 5 years providing oversight in execution of Multiple projects balancing---risks, financials, issue escalation and timely delivery of projects.
