Superb lead business consulting role with a large market leading financial organisation. Looking for an Accounting Systems Functional Consultant experienced with either Oracle Financials, SAP FI, PeopleSoft, JDE, Baan, Sun Accounts, Great Plains etc. Any specific electronic payments processing integration experience would be a plus.

Our client is a global financial services company and one of the world’s largest providers of global payment processing services, with their own innovative and award winning payment technology platform. Replacing multiple payment interfaces / logins by one single online system, it’s proven to help reduce cash management risk and payment errors, and by interfacing directly with existing accounting, ERP or treasury systems becomes a normal part of the clients’ streamlined workflow.

The company has created a new specialist Product Consulting team to assist their larger corporate customers with integrating their finance systems with the payments solution, and are looking to appoint a lead functional consultant who is experienced with implementing/integrating accounting packages (Oracle Financials, SAP FI, PeopleSoft, JDE, Baan, Sun Accounts, Great Plains etc), to play a key role within this division, consulting as a trusted advisor with clients and helping establish a product management function.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Work with the client to advise them on how best to set up their accounting/finance system to the payment processing platform. You are responsible for working closely with customers to ensure that a quality, integrated solution is delivered in a timely manner, and to the client's satisfaction.

• Being a senior thought leader in the area of finance system integration and responsible for knowledge transfer to customers and colleagues, and use your skills in consulting and customer problem solving to create customer value, often in high profile, strategic accounts.

• As part of the Product Management team help define and deliver new solutions to market.

• Providing business consulting expertise in support of the sales process.

Candidate Experience:

• Experience in a customer facing role (systems implementation, management consultancy or pre sales).

• Must have experience working with and/or implementing financial accounting systems with Corporates such as either Oracle Financials, SAP FI, PeopleSoft, JDE, Baan, Sun Accounts, Great Plains etc. You may have been an Accountant or Systems Accountant previously.

• Any electronic payments processing integration experience would be a plus, but it is not a pre-requisite.  

• Good analytical and problem solving skills.

• This is a highly interactive role both internally and with clients so exceptional communication skills are essential. Must be able to independently lead discussions with clients on a business level to find creative solutions, as well as interface with internal and external technical teams.
