A recruitment drive is underway for a highly capable and seasoned performer in the Corporate  Finance / M&A space to join the Australian head office in Melbourne, in the role of Manager - Corporate Finance.

Your Mandate

With a direct reporting line and solid support from a highly regarded Senior Management team, as well as working in conjunction with a rock solid team of fellow Corporate Finance experts, your main duties will cover -

  • Assist with negotiation in relation to corporate finance for new acquisitions and new business developments, as well as the refinancing of existing projects
  • Coordinate the analysis of Investment opportunities for the firm including acquisition opportunities, capital raisings and private equity transactions
  • Manage and coordinate internal and external stakeholders in order to facilitate investments and financing outcomes
  • Provide core senior analytical support for the existing businesses working in conjunction with existing clients, fellow managers and analytical supports ensuring performance against objectives are adhered to
  • Oversee the preparation, maintenance and enhancement of core financial models in direct relation to the above activities 
  • Act as a guide and mentor for junior Analysts and other key stakeholders
  • Ensure that all results reflect company and accounting standard methodologies and standards
  • Management of key stakeholders within relationship banks

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven Corporate Finance / M&A transaction (Min 4-5 years) practical working experience and a sound knowledge of the market and conditions as gained from a leading Corporate Finance House, Chartered Accounting or Investment Banking arena
  • Advanced numerical and problem solving skills and ability, with robust stakeholder management expertise and highly developed business acumen 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (VBA skills highly desirable), with Exceptional financial modelling prowess
  • SOLID Tertiary qualifications within an Accounting / Economics / Finance discipline
  • PROVEN knowledge of the commercial drivers behind Corporate Finance / M&A processes 
  • You must be passionate, self motivated, confident in your Corporate Finance ability, plus you will be adaptable to your surroundings and working environment.
