Markit requires a product manager with a strong background in Derivatives Trade Processing to contribute to the ongoing development of MarkitWire and MTP derivative products. Furthermore the candidate will be responsible for creating and bringing to market new initiatives within the entire APAC region.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • OTC Product development within the Banking industry
  • Regularly attend ISDA meetings, arrange product specific working groups within APAC region and be able to confidently speak/liaise with high level banking clients.
  • Be flexible in attitude and able to use one’s initiative
  • Implement global product plans through technical team members
  • Work with IT and Sales to ensure new products meet time requirements
  • Implement a strategic long and short term project
  • Manage all aspects of Equity, Rates products for the APAC region.

Please note we will look at a range of experience with the result that we retain flexibility to hire at either the Associate or VP grade. We are also open to this role being based in Singapore

Business Competencies

  • Strong Derivatives experience within middle office / trade processsing environment essential
  • Knowledge OTC documentation (Masters, MCA, confirmations) a plus
  • Deep understanding of the marketplace and changes in the trade processing environment (e.g. ISDA, AMF, OMG).
  • Degree educated
  • Strong Organisational /Project skills
  • Awareness of MarkitWire and MTP is of value
  • Banking industry/ Finance knowledge is important

  • Be willing/able to adapt to changing environments
  • Hard working self motivated individual is required
  • Enjoy a fast paced dynamic business environment
  • Japanese and English written and spoken is required.
  • Good reporting/presenting skills to clients/management are a must
  • A flexible team player with a mature attitude
  • Being able to organise and project manage a strategic plan for new products to a strict timeframe is a must.
