Job Description
The Chief Investment Office is a profitable business unit reporting directly to the CEO of JPMorgan Chase that has the following mandates:
- Structural Interest Rate Risk Management - manage the structural interest rate risk of the firm created by other Line of Business units and management the investment typed securities
- Home Finance Mortgage Servicing Rights Hedging (US only) - manage the hedging of interest rate and prepayment risks in MSR asset
- Foreign Exchange Hedging - manage the hedging of Firms' exposure to foreign exchange revaluation of non USD revenues, expenses and capital
- Other Corporate Investments and Obligations (US only) - covers Corporate/Bank Owned Life Insurance, Pension and Retirment Plans, and Private Equity
- Business Advisory - advising Line of Business on their own investment strategies
- Proprietary Trading Decisions
Job functions/responsibilities:
- Prepare and report daily P&L and risk management information to CIO FO / traders
- Explain daily P&L as well as investigate any issues as required
- Coordinate front-to-back system process setup
- Perform FO-BO reconciliation to ensure correct P&L reporting
- Obtain timely sign-off of P&L and provide support for any ad hoc requests and queries from FO
- Perform selected monthend P&L reconciliation and work closely with Accounting / Control team to ensure proper reconciliation of P&L accounting
- Responsibilities of oversight of other team member
Qualifications
- Degree holder
- 5 to 10 years working experience in Middle Office or Product Control functions preferable
- Previous exposure to derivative products preferable
- Accounting knowledge preferred
- Analytic mind and strong intuitions required
- A good team player with professional attitude
- Knowledge of MS VBA would be an asset
