Due to local expansion, we are looking for an Associate Research Analyst- Utilities- in our New York Office. Working under a Senior Sell-Side Equity Research Analyst, this is your opportunity to play an integral role in the growth of our business. As a member of a highly ranked and growing team, you will be involved in generating reports that assist in our institutional clients' investment decisions. You will help provide industry analysis, financial modelling, managing and building databases and generating reports and investment opinions.

To be successful, you will:

• have equity research experience and/or utilities industry experience;
• have tertiary qualifications in a finance, accounting, quantitative or related discipline;
• be highly numerate, with exceptional financial analysis and modelling skills;
• have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate ideas succinctly;
• possess sales and marketing capabilities;
• be a team player and have a desire to be an integral part of a successful sell-side research team;
• have initiative to help build a quality product and be willing to work the hours to achieve your goals;
• be able to build solid relationships and enjoy communicating at all levels with sales teams and clients;
• have series 7, 63 and 86/87 qualifications (or be willing to obtain these).
