Product Controller for Fixed Income, FX and Money Market

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

  • Ensure smooth, timely and reliable daily and monthly reporting of economic results and income attribution analyses.
  • Maintain effective functional support to internal and external parties.
  • Actively participate in implementation of changes in environment (new product, market developments etc.), in order to ensure reliable monitoring of positions and reporting of results and maintain low level of operational risk.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily and monthly reporting of economic results (trading, sales).
  • Monitoring of impact of market movements on the results: implementation of income attribution analysis.
  • Comments on results, analysis of disputes and discrepancies.
  • Reconciliation of positions between Front Office and Back Office databases.
  • Cooperation on reconciliation with accounting systems.
  • Preparation of other reports for internal counterparts, authorities, auditors etc.
  • New products and participation in projects, as and when requested by management.

Product coverage: forex, money market, fixed income, interest rate derivatives, futures, options, commodities.

Regional coverage (south-east & east Asia, Australia).

KEY SKILL AREAS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of financial / investment banking products
  • Knowledge of financial mathematics and accounting principles
  • Knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Access), VBA, SQL appreciated.
  • Good communication skills with fluency in English
  • Good analytical and organizational skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Investment Banking Finance, Risk Department or Investment Banking Operations (Product Control, Market Risk, Middle Office or similarly focused teams).

• Degree in Mathematics, IT or Finance & Banking.
