A trade support role linking the Front Desk and Operations area in the Japan office of a major global AM company with over 3500 employees in 25 nations worldwide.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Duties related to Trade instruction process: Creating, Sending, Inputting, Reconciling etc
  • Data Integrity duties: Security Data, Price Monitoring, Account Holdings, Reconciliation
  • Other duties include: Corporate Actions, Proxy Voting, Cash Control
  • Monitoring, improving, and expanding existing processes.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of Middle office / Back Office experience, and/or some Trading Experience
  • Basic knowledge of instrument characteristics and settlement processes for traditional assets, currencies, and futures
  • Additionally, understanding / experience with Options, Swaps, Structured Products and Security Lending is a plus.
  • Self Driven and responsible person to fully complete assigned tasks. Many occasions work may need to be put before personal matters especially for work related with oversea operations.
  • Eager to attain the knowledge of relevant products and business processes.
  • Good communicator and Team playing spirit is a must.
  • Process orientated mind over solution based
  • Open minded approach to understand trade support related processes to be able to understand how your job will impact other sections of the company.
  • Frame of mind focused on productivity; willingness to take more duties, expand team
  • Preferred to have Process Improvement experiences/skills, e.g. to design/establish new detailed processes, Documentation skills, e.g. procedures/manual.
  • Strong Risk Control: monitoring and adhering legal and compliance responsibilities.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English; strong enough to negotiate and solve issues and participate in Global project, new product setups etc.
  • Requirement for native level Japanese
  • Comfortable with Excel/Access, ability to create simple macros is a plus.
