NY 5bn fund seeks talented convertible bond trader, to establish London office, and trade 300-400mm capital.

Well established, top quartile US hedge fund with good recent performance is setting up an office in London. We are looking for a talented trader with 5-9 yrs experience in convertible bonds, specifically European Converts. The candidate needs well honed quantitative skills, with sucessful background in Physics, Maths, Engineering or Computer science. We would expect the candidate to have deep excel skills, excellent SAT equivalent academic background.  We value the ability to think critically and objectively, and are looking for an entrepreneurial mindset. This is the first PM hire for the London office, we are looking for someone with managerial ability at least in theoretical terms.
