Our client is one of the top European private equity funds, established over 20 years ago and with a strong track record of significant IRR earnings.  Having raised several funds, a busy pipeline of work has led to a need for two Associates to join their team.   It is a big name in European private equity and very profitable.

 Responsbilities:

- Identification and due diligence of potential investments for the fund

- Initial meeting with management to assess the potential viability for investment

- Working on the execution of the investment, and transaction management, acting as principal with external advisors

- Portfolio mangement of investments through to exit

- Assisiting with fund raising as required

Candidate background:

Candidates may come from a variety of backgrounds but might include:

- Investment professionals from other funds or the principle investment arms of the major banks; or

- Investment bankers with the major investment banks, with experience within financial sponsors, leveraged finance or M&A -

- Strategy consultants from firms such as McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Marakon.  It is likely that you will have a broad client base and worked on a range of projects.  

- Exceptional academic background - if an MBA, from Harvard, Wharton, INSEAD, LBS

- Fluency in at least two European languages is very useful
