An exciting new opportunity has arisen in this growing organisation for a self motivated individual to head up the client services team, reporting into the Head of Business Development. The successful candidate will be tasked with strategic planning and developing the client services offering to meet and exceed client demands. Working closely with Marketing & Communications and Product Development, it will involve direct communication with clients as well as the fund management, investment management and finance teams. This is a collegiate environment where contribution is recognised and is a very sought after place to work.

Key Responsibilities

Client services is the key point of contact for all investors, the primary responsibility of this role will be to maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s responsibilities toward their clients and ensure that these are delivered to a high standard by the client services team. This will require:

• A diligent understanding of all fund and investor documents

• An understanding of each funds’ operations and underlying performance

• An appreciation for investment principals and strong financial skills to interpret and report on financial results.

• Coordination of all investor communications

• Management of a team of 3+ members

Developing, planning and overseeing content of interactions with global clients in terms of regular reporting on portfolio performance as well as positioning, branding and messaging.

  • Develop and deliver investor activities calendar
  • Develop and coordinate relationship management programmes for 100+ investors and consultants
  • Ensure high quality delivery of monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports requested by clients, implementing processes to enhance efficiency
  • Understanding of fund activity and performance updates and implications for client communications
  • Ensure maintenance of corporate and performance information in response to questionnaires from clients and their consultants on a routine basis (including track record of historic investment performance)
  • Responsibility for the development and maintenance of the CRM database, including comprehensive knowledge of each client and their specific needs
  • Coordinate and ensure the delivery of investor communication programme including webcasts, IAC Papers, newsflashes, presentations for investor visits etc
  • Coordinate responses to specific investor enquiries
  • Manage key service provider relationships e.g. fund administrators and transfer agents
  • Offer input to new product development and business development processes

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A sound understanding of investment management and financial market products and services

• An ability to interpret and report on financial results with proven financial analysis experience

• Real estate and/or private equity experience would be an advantage but not essential

• Superior oral and written communication skills essential

• A proven ability to act as a team player who liaises and works well with others at various levels of the business

• Proven people management skills

• Team orientated but able to progress tasks under own initiative

• Ability to establish a high level of credibility externally and internally

• Proficient in all Microsoft applications
