Our Commodities team is a market leader when it comes to providing innovative risk management solutions to a wide variety of clients. The team has a presence in London, New York, Houston, Singapore and Bangalore, and trades a diverse range of exchange and OTC products. These include base and precious metals, and energy products, like natural gas and oil, weather derivatives and carbon emissions.

Due to expansion, we need your help with investment banking product ISDA documentation for our Asia Pacific branches. You will also be a primary legal contact.

Specifically, you will review term sheets, draft and check ISDA confirmations, oversee filter documentation issues, and improve control procedures for our template library and database. We also look to you to administer confirmation documentation templates, provide training to new and existing staff, establish an escalation process, implement tracking and monitoring tools, and support new product and business approval.

A degree in Law is a must. You also have a firm grasp of ISDA Master Agreements and Definitions, and at least three years’ experience in derivative transactions and ISDA confirmations gained within an investment bank.

Initiative, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment are key. Seal your success with the analytical skills required to understand complex products, a flair for negotiation and strong powers of persuasion.

2005 ISDA Commodity Definition and Drafting experience would be an advantage, as would knowledge of financial oil and agricultural products, and legal or quasi-legal experience.
