Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver high quality solutions under direction of an application engineer and project manager.
• Delivers the functionality requested by the Application Engineer.
• Rapidly learn front to back office applications developed using VB 6.0 and SQL
• Rapidly learn the Investment Banking domain
• Low level design of solution
• Coding and unit testing of the solution
• Work with testers to verify the solution
• Rework defects and take part in defect analysis

Qualifications/Education Essential

• A Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Management or related Preferred

Skills and Knowledge

• Proven ability to work within a team environment
• Clear and fluent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to make good/sound decisions and use independent judgment.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Sybase
• Clearcase (pref) or other enterprise source control tool.
• Scores more than 4.0 in brainbench VB test within previous 6 months or MCSD Certified Developer.

Candidate Profile Essential

• At least four years of VB 6.0 and SQL development experience
• Experienced in relational database - SQL
• VB 6.0 and SQL Performance Tuning skills
• Previous working experience in investment bank
