A major foreign bank has an opening for a marketing/communications professional to manage communications programs in the U.S. This position will help develop and communicate the bank’s key marketing messages to stakeholders – clients, prospects, employees, and others.
  • Write/edit external marketing/communications documents, including press releases, deal announcements, Internet content, client presentation decks, and other marketing collateral.
  • Write/edit internal marketing/communications documents, including intranet content, employee newsletters, senior management communications and memoranda.
  • Handle and evaluate all incoming media inquiries the bank receives in the U.S. Manage media request database and track media articles once they appear.
  • Develop and execute tactics that raise visibility in the media. Develop and cultivate relationships with appropriate press contacts at relevant national trade, financial and business publications.
  • Identify and coordinate company sponsorships and presence at industry trade shows, conferences, and events. Maintain sponsorship budget and analyze ROI.
  • Identify and coordinate appropriate regional advertisements.

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • College degree in communications, marketing, business or related field
  • Minimum of three to four years marketing/communications experience; preferably in financial services
  • Superior communications skills - interpersonal, written and verbal
  • Strong media relations experience
  • Accomplished writer; experience necessary in distilling complicated financial transactions/terminology into understandable and readable lay terminology (writing samples required)
  • Experience with PowerPoint; ability to apply and maintain brand/corporate design standards across various collateral materials
  • Excellent organization skills; ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Experience with web-based communications strongly preferred
  • Desktop publishing / design experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work with many stakeholders
