In the newly created role of Procurement Manager with this financial services company, you will be responsible for creating infrastructure and controls throughout its Canadian operation. Your mandate will be to use your procurement expertise while working closely with Senior Management, establishing policies and guidelines and ensuring compliance with them, while proactively adding value to the business units. You will identify requirements, and assist with the sourcing and selection of suppliers, as well as negotiating and developing contracts, monitoring performance, benchmarking expenses, identifying best practices and process improvement opportunities, contract management, and communicating and training, as well as other related duties as required.
