Asian Markets Trader needed for major hedge fund

Major hedge fund client is looking for an exceptionally talented individual to join their Global Trading team as a Asian Markets Trader. The trader will take on multiple responsibilities, including trading, trading strategy implementation, and execution optimization. Candidates should be ambitious and enthusiastic about implementing new ideas and possess the ability to work both individually and in a team setting. The hours are approximately 4pm to 2am

Responsibilities:

•Execute trades in the Asian markets •Trade a wide variety of instruments including: equities, currencies, mortgages, commodities, and interest rate swaps •Conduct trade analysis •Develop implementation strategies •Improve the implementation process, including enhancing the electronic trading systems by working with the development team to define and test new features/capabilities •Ability to code changes into existing trading system to enhance performance

Job Requirements:

•1-5 years trading experience, preferably some electronic trading experience and preference to work Asian hours •Strong analytical skills •Some C++ , JAVA, Perl or VBA experience preferred •Basic SQL knowledge •A bachelors and/or masters degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Finance or a related field with strong GPA
