BNY Mellon Asset Mngmt is responsible for BNY Mellon’s global retail, intermediary & institutional asset mngmt businesses. The Strategic Business Development group is responsible for managing the development/implementation of business strategy; development projects; & provision of support to various subsidiaries within BNYM AM’s multi-affiliate structure.

The Business Development Manager would work closely with the VP, Strategic Business Development in support of various strategic business development initiatives (potential public and private acquisitions of US and international asset management companies, divestitures, joint venture arrangements, etc). Minimum seven years working in financial services or management consulting with strategic planning, corporate finance or comparable experience Financial services industry experience working in the asset management and mutual fund markets is preferred Depth of knowledge on business-matter expertise such as acquisitions, lift-outs or divestitures Demonstrated project management skills, with a proven ability to manage large, complex transactions and associated resources. Thorough and comprehensive research skills. Ability to undertake sophisticated financial analyses including valuations and acquisition models, to create and use pre-existing models and spreadsheets, prepare presentations; generate comprehensive financial analyses and thought pieces. Resourceful and detail oriented Ability to plan and facilitate meetings Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work in a dynamic environment Ability to utilize superior reason skills; demonstrate good business judgment and interpersonal skills to influence senior management and team members. Degree qualified. MBA or CFA preferred.

This position may be based in Boston or London.
