The Portfolio Compliance Group at BlackRock is seeking outstanding candidates to join a dynamic and growing team. The group is a critical unit within the organization and is a central link in the trade flow process. The Analyst position has significant visibility with senior management and direct interaction with other units of the firm, including Portfolio Management, Account Management, and Trading Operations.
Responsibilities:
Understanding clients’ investment guidelines and then coding them into the compliance system. Monitoring and reviewing compliance rule exceptions on a daily basis for assigned accounts. Becoming acquainted with BlackRock’s various Aladdin applications, trade flow process, and data environment. Investigating and troubleshooting potential errors in existing compliance coding and designing new system rules when needed. Participating in efficiency and improvement initiatives by providing ideas and suggestions on possible enhancements to systems or processes.
Qualifications:
College graduates with 0 to 3 years experience with a background in programming, computer sciences, or finance will be considered. Knowledge of financial instruments and markets is beneficial. Strong computer skills are required, and knowledge of computer programming languages (such as Visual Basic, C++, Java) and an understanding of relational database concepts (including SQL) is preferred. Close attention to detail, superb communication skills. Demonstrated ability to contribute in a team environment.
