Our client is one of the world’s largest alternative asset investment managers and is a part of a global investment management business.

Our client is a major investor in real estate and infrastructure private equity transactions in Europe, Asia Pacific, and the America.
The Fund Finance group of our client is seeking a qualified individual to fill a position of a Manager for the Fund Finance team of Asia Pacific. The Asia Pacific Fund finance team is responsible for the Investment and Fund reporting for the Opportunities Funds and the Global Infrastructure Funds and works closely with the Fund Finance Groups in London and New York. It also supports the Asia Pacific origination team and is actively involved in the origination stage of any new investment or produt to be added to the platform.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting –
• Oversee accounting for all fund investments in a region.
• Ensure all transactions are properly recorded
• Review quarterly financial statements
• Ensure that accounting policies are appropriate consistently applied.
• Deal Origination, Asset Management & Product Development Support
• Review accounting & finance matters related to new product initiative
• Determine how reporting will be managed
• Review the existing internal controls environment
• Review the tax advice provided by Big 4 on the transaction.
• Lead the day to day management of the regional Fund Finance staff.
• Manage Fund Finance staff
• Enforce compliance of the origination/asset management teams
• Identify key issues in deal origination and product development
• Escalate issues/concerns to the appropriate levels
• Oversee regional tax compliance

Requirements and Experience:

Accounting / Financials Services professional (CPA or CA )

6 – 8 years of experience at a global, services firm.

Fund and Partnership accounting experience is a plus

Good interpersonal skills and experience presenting to management

Project management skills required.

Self-motivated and good time management skills

Analytical, solution seeking and goal oriented.

Must have a solid understanding of financial statements

Accounting standards (US GAAP required, IFRS a plus).

Ability to understand investment banking and real estate deals is a plus.

Must have strong knowledge of Financial Modeling.
