An experienced Investment professional is required for the role of Section Manager for our large City Centre Investment company.

Overview: To manage a number of Funds teams to produce accurate daily prices for clients within tight timescales, to maintain investment and accounting records for these funds and to produce monthly/year-end information in accordance with pre-determined timetables/deadlines. The role holder will manage multiple teams consisting of approx 7-10 team members each and will report to the overall Manager. Responsibilities: • Producing daily information for price calculation and validation • Daily checking of cash movements to ensure accurate fund valuations are produced • Updating investment and financial records for transactions • Validating daily price movements of funds, investigating any discrepancies • Daily calculation of tax positions of the funds • Ensuring all financial transactions are correctly accounted for in the investment and financial records of the funds • Performing bank reconciliations and investigating any differences on a timely basis • Supplying all relevant price information to national press, agencies and internal and external customers • Calculating year-end tax positions for inclusion in annual tax return • Reconciling fund ledger to source system on a monthly basis • Providing clients Finance teams with information relating to investment activity for inclusion in Annual Report and other statutory returns • Creating, maintaining and enhancing productive working relationships with all customers • Planning work to achieve objectives • Delivering, monitoring and evaluating work • Manage a number of teams in a rapidly changing environment Experience Required • Experience of working within a Valuations area, with exposure to pricing and accounting processes • Proven track record of managing others effectively • Fund accounting experience preferable • Qualified/part qualified accountant preferred • Good working knowledge of MS applications We are currently dealing with many other Financial Services roles which might be of interest to you so if you would like to have a confidential talk with one of our consultants to discuss other roles which may also be a good match to your skill set then please do send your CV to edinburgh@changejobs.net to arrange.
