Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate with the global Compensation & Benefits team in the development, implementation and delivery of a reward strategy. Provide local project management and assistance with the global survey participation annually to include job-matching, data collection, submission and subsequent analysis and utilisation of results.
- Participate in other ad hoc surveys as deemed appropriate to support the business locally.
- Partner with the Client Relationship teams to provide compensation advice and analysis as required.
- Manage key aspects of the annual compensation round.
- Run the production of compensation profiles for the year end process standard and MD for North Asia.
- Ad hoc projects e.g. allowances review
- Carry out stock buyout valuation calculations.
- Assist with the grant and release of share awards.
- Act as local co-ordinator of global equity plan policy and operations, providing a local point of contact for employees.
- Management of the relationship with external providers/administrators of the company pension plan and other benefits.
- Oversea the administration of the schemes to ensure it is both efficient and robust.
- Ensure compliance with reporting and administrative deadlines of our Benefit plans, working with other HR teams, Legal,
- Compliance, Group Tax and external vendors to ensure compliance.
- Act as point of contact for Pensions / Benefits queries. Ad hoc projects such as review of annual health screening provision, country benefits reviews, establishing of new benefits plans.
Requirements:
- University degree
- 3- 5 years of relevant Compensation and Benefits experience.
- Work experience involving interaction with a variety of levels, internal or external. Preferred
- Survey experience such as McLagan.
- Experience of dealing with North Asia locations especially Hong Kong and China.
- An understanding of employment law in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Australia.
- An understanding of the investment banking business, the environment and its people.
- Project management and ability to work effectively to exacting deadlines. Good Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- High quality of service delivery and response to clients.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly numerate.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Analytical and an effective problem solver.
- Experience with SAP, MS Access database skills.
- Mandarin and Cantonese language skills.
- Evidence of experience, confidence and diplomacy in dealing with senior members of staff.
