Key Responsibilities:
Product Development:
- Working closely with Senior Management to identify areas of potential development
- Competitor product analysis to ensure E*Trade products are market leading
- Liaison with the Business teams to create appropriate Business Cases and requirements documents
- Managing the change control process during delivery of these requirements
- Work with Business teams to create business procedures and marketing campaigns that support the new initiatives
- Maintaining excellent relationships with all of the business teams : Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, complaince and Operations.
- Monitor Cost and revenue product models to ensure profitable solutions for E*Trade
- Analysis and ongoing improvement of the existing E*TRADE service
Product Delivery:
- Work with the development team for product delivery that meets requirements
- Negotiation of appropriate cost of development, ensuring the cost is in line with the development required and the needs of the business
- Management of product delivery timelines into the business
- Perform QA activities and liaise with the business teams to coordinate testing and release of new products
Quality Assurance:
- Working with all departments in the business to establish good QA procedures, and the documentation of this
- Working with IT team to coordinate scheduled system updates
- Maintain high availability of the online service
- Escalation of issues to the product manager as appropriate
- Monitor vendor announcement for ongoing business impact
Key Skills :
Business skills:
- Clear, proven understanding of and a passion for Market trading. Understanding instruments such as Equities, CFDs, Futures and spreadbetting; and how these are executed via world exchanges.
- Good understanding of the front-office and back-office business processes within the trading environment
- Can understand and effectively document and present unambiguous business functionality.
- Vendor liaison and contract negotiation
Projects skills:
- Strong project skills
- Can demonstrate, a clear understanding of a project methodology
- Can demonstrate a good track record in project delivery
Technical skills:
- Good understanding of web technologies
- Good understanding of financial back-office systems and how they operate
- Understanding of development life cycle
Personal skills:
- Excellent, efficient communicator
- Tenacious and thorough with proven attention to detail. Desire to see a project through to it's best possible conclusion, whatever it takes
- Good interpersonal skills. This is a role that requires a high level of co-ordination.
